Advantages Of Online Marketing

It is indeed a well know fact, that online marketing is essential to have a profitable business on the Internet.A good website design is paramount to a successful online internet campaign.Online business is more than just building a website and waiting for someone to find it.The true learning curve in online marketing is steep and getting off on the wrong foot can cost you time and money. The key to marketing online is content and the ability to write well provides the website business owner with an advantage both in terms of visitor interest and with search engines.Just building a website is not enough to succeed online.

The online marketing Summit is the most comprehensive educational forum for marketers to learn best practices in all marketing disciplines. Its sole objective is to educate on how to execute the best known practices in online marketing.A winning marketing campaign depends on an expertly planned, skillfully executed strategy paired with experienced professionals dedicated to your success. The most cost effective way to achieve this is by combining your marketing message with important content that users are already actively seeking out.Unlike most trade shows and conferences, it is built around content that drives action and delivers insight that we as marketers can actually use and build into our marketing plans.

However, the key thing to understand is that attraction marketing is not something that suddenly happened over the last 12 years or so because of the Internet. When surfing the internet you can find different websites where you can earn some money.Of all the advertising platforms, the Internet is one of the few on an upward trend. The Internet is not that good at big brand building objectives, so there are a lot of companies struggling with a way to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity google and other searches offer. It gives advertisers the opportunity to build mind share more effectively by targeting the right context at the right time, ensuring their messages are relevant to the people they are trying to reach.

Moreover, the Internet gives marketers more precise, measurable accountability for their ad spending than do traditional media.Marketers can use the Internet to target specific, well defined audience segments, yet reach a large audience scaling across many markets. In some ways, it causes TV to look less useful but in order to continue to do a mixture of both you need to use a combination of very solid measurements and total gut feel. And while advertisers are getting better at quantifying the payback for their investment, advertising remains as much art as science.

Many people think of Internet advertising as an intrusive, annoying experience with dancing aliens jumping across the screen and perpetual pop up windows. The opportunities on the Internet are in providing relevant content that is not intrusive personally. In addition to search and display advertising, marketers are also using the Internet and other techniques to generate word of mouth or buzz marketing.Yahoo and Msn search engines add millions more Internet home shoppers. It is expected that 90% of all home purchases will involve the Internet this year.

Indeed, as computer screens, mobile phones and other devices offer what amounts to billboard space for display ads, video and tie ins to Internet searches, the advertising landscape is undergoing a major transformation.Advertising networks have proven very effective in building brand awareness and generating demand. It has also the benefit of target advertising.Internet advertising offers an unprecedented vista of touch points with a customer. The goal of internet marketing is to bring you more qualified visitors to your website which translates into more business for you.

Internet Marketing Elements That May Affect Your Home Based Business

At present, many people are choosing Internet Marketing to earn full time income.A lot of individuals who are working at home and managing their home based businesses whether partly or entirely dependant on Internet Marketing as an effective source to make money.Regardless it is individual or company, both need to fully understand the concept of Internet Marketing and keep in mind several factors that might really affect their business if not considered.

As any other profession, Internet Marketers are facing some challenges and obstacles which may eventually lead to reduce the chances of their success or in other words slow down the phase of their work. The main challenges are the language and culture barriers that may cause some problems for Internet Marketers while interacting with their customers and other partner websites.

Therefore, there is a pressing need to develop kind of programs that would help in translating any language to different languages that would be understandable to the customer. Not to forget the cultural differences like principles and customs that play a role in a lot of peoples lives and put that in consideration too.

May I also emphasize on the importance of a good management as well as a clear vision while marketing on the internet to cope up with the rapid changes in the market on both local and international levels. Also keep in mind that marketing is a difficult job to perform generally and it might not work if the people working in this field do not understand it very well.

So talking about the Arab World, this might be one of the main challenges that is facing Internet Marketing companies here, considering that what happens in most of the Arabic companies is only an attempt to market electronically but really without any supporting specialty.

Often, these companies fail to copy the means and methods shown in the different internet websites that in many cases do not succeed to communicate the message or to present the overall product to the end customer.Adding to that, according to some online marketing experts, these copied methods will not aim to more than either experimenting what might work and waiting for the reaction or applying the trick and seduce strategies similar to any other traditional marketing transaction.

Privacy and Confidentiality also considered among the obstacles that face people working in this field. In other words, the number of customers who adopt the idea of shopping and dealing through the internet will definitely affect its popularity, especially that most of the electronic transactions require getting some information from customers such as name, nationality, address and payment method. For this reason, there is a need to incorporate special security softwares and plug-ins to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the commercial transactions and encrypting the electronic payment system to avoid suspicious and fraudulent activities.

Other concerns to the privacy factor include the necessity of introducing the laws and procedures to regulate the internet marketing operations and preserve copying and publishing rights on the web as well as develop the financial and commercial systems to facilitate online marketing activities.

It is also very important to educate and make individuals and organizations aware about the internet and its effects on our modern lives especially in those countries who are still behind in using the internet.

The good news though is in spite of the challenges facing Internet Marketing as discussed above, Information Technology experts are optimistic that Internet Marketing jobs are going to get better opportunities and seekers in the coming days with the wide spread of the internet and the huge circular of commercial and intellectual transactions already happening through it.

International Trade Organization for instance, has published a report that illustrates that number of internet users in the world have increased to more than 100 million users in 2005 which 1/3 were from the United States itself. The report has also stated that the expected business transactions that are taking place through the internet will constitute about 70% of the total global trade by 2010.

Booking Tools are a Vital Part of Hotel Websites

Many consumers use the internet to research vacations and hotels. It is convenient for people to browse the internet at their leisure and to find all the information about potential hotels and compare before making a decision.A good website can make or break a hotel.People are opting against using travel agents more and more and instead are doing their own research and booking. Most consumers have specific ideas about what qualities they desire in a hotel and it is crucial that they are able to view descriptions, features, and photographs online.

Online booking tools are simple for consumers to use. After viewing the hotel's information, the consumer is able to check the availability of the desired type of room and then reserve it in the same moment. They input their personal information, select the desired room features such as bed type and view, and then they enter their payment information so the hotel can charge them. Most people feel more secure entering their credit card information themselves onto a secured website instead of reading their credit card number to a person on the telephone. The consumer then receives printable confirmation of their booking. This is done at no cost to the consumer, whereas booking by telephone often incurs a long distance charge. The information entered by the client is instantly available to the hotel and their room availability is automatically updated. The hotel can also verify the credit card in the same moment.

Implementing an online booking tool can increase a hotel's profits exponentially. The startup and maintenance cost is low and the benefits are far-reaching.A well-presented and properly promoted website with an online booking tool is one of the best investments a hotel can make.If a traveler visits a hotel's website and is impressed with what they see, they can book the hotel in the same moment. If the potential customer is not able to book online and instead has to write down the phone number to book via telephone, there is always the chance they may change their mind, forget, or find something they like better in the meantime.A convincing website will ensure the client books the hotel before leaving the website.

An online booking system is very cost-efficient for hotels.Generally, there is a setup fee involved but this is only paid once. The hotel saves money by needing less employees. In the past, hotels rooms were traditionally booked via telephone, which meant the hotel needed to have enough employees available to answer the phone at all hours, as well as people who could speak other languages.Online booking tools that are translated into other languages make the hotel easily booked by people from all over the world.Further, booking phone calls take up a lot of time. When a client books a room online, the hotel employees do not lose any time. All of the personal information is entered by the client, freeing up the hotel employees to focus on more pressing tasks and reducing the number of employees the hotel is forced to employ, and thus increasing their profits.

Booking hotel rooms online benefits both the hotel and the client.Online booking is becoming so prevalent that many consumers will only reserve a room by this method.A hotel that does not offer this service is essentially hurting its business.

5 Methods to Keep Visitors Coming Back

Loads of profitable websites rely on repeat visitors to their site to account for a major amount of the traffic to their website.Visitors that come back are easier to convert into buying customers because as they keep returning to the website, the more they will gain more trust in your website. The credibility of a site is the very thing to think about for success. So it is to your benefit, you should keep visitors returning to the website. You can use some of the following methods:

1) Start a forum, chat room or shout box.

When you have created a forum, chat room or shout box, this creates a way of giving your visitors somewhere to voice their opinions and exchange views with like minds - they will all be visitors to you website. When conversations grow, with many responses a feeling of community will also result from this and your visitors are extremely likely to start returning to your website almost instinctively every day.

2) Start a web log (blog) having an internet journal, or what is usually called a blog, on your website and continually keep it updated including all the latest news about yourself and products that may help the visitor. The general public are always curious looking for information and they are highly likely to keep their eyes constantly glued to the monitor of your website if you post fresh news consistently. You will also gain lots of trust because you are showing to them that you are also a real life person!

3) Carry out polls or surveys.More methods that can benefit your site are polls and surveys there are other methods of getting visitors involved that you should most certainly consider introducing to your website. They can give a quick way for visitors to show their opinions and to interact on your website. You should probably consider the idea of publishing polls or surveys that are very relevant to the specified customers to your website so that they are kept interested enough to find out about the results to the polls and or survey.

4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games, just think of the amount of office workers that are doing nothing at work from day to day, and you can imagine just how many people are likely to visit your website if you give those lots of very interesting and addictive methods of entertainment. It will also benefit you to can hold competitions that will award the high score winners and keep them attempting time and time again to win the prize.

5) Update frequently with fresh content. You should be updating your website on a frequent basis with new information that will ensure that every time your visitors return to your website, they will have some information to read on your website. As you have probably guessed, this is the most popular known and most powerful method of getting visitors to return to your website, but you are in luck because this is also something that is not done very well out of all the traffic generating methods, because of the laziness of webmasters.People won't enjoy browsing a website that looks the same and never changes over the years, so be sure to keep your website updated with the latest information.

Affordable Advertising on Craigslist

Promoting on Craigslist is definitely affordable. For the most part you don't have to pay a fee majority of the posts that are written on Craigslist.Craigslist started first as an organization that was free but in 1999 they began to charge for some of there services. Now, there costs to keep the site running are paid by charging small fees for adverts that are asking for help that are put on the San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City Craigslist sites. Also, they charge for brokerage apartments that are listed in New York City.

A large amount of the posts advertised on the Craigslist which is over 300 sites don't pay any money.Because of these posting advertisements on Craigslist is definitely worth your while from a money making standpoint.Even though advertising is free time needs to be taken to post the advertisements properly because although even though there is no financial loss, poor posting may lead to a loss of time and resources if it produces poor profit potential.

Why Craigslist is Free

Even though the creator of Craigslist, Craig Newmark, was asked in 1997 about the chance of putting banner advertising on Craigslist to make a profit, he decided to keep Craigslist as a non-commercial site.

Even when Craigslist was changed into a for profit organization, it has not been infiltrated by big businesses websites or companies.Craigslist's mission statements show why Craigslist has continued to be non-commercial:

* Giving each other a break, getting the word out about everyday, real-world stuff
* Bringing back the human voice to the Internet, in a humane, non-commercial environment
* Making things simple, common-sense, down-to-earth, honest, very real
* Giving another option to impersonal, big-media sites
* Including every one, giving a voice to the disenfranchised, democratizing
* Being a collection of communities with similar spirit, not a single monolithic entity

Advertising on Craigslist vs.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is another type of marketing which many business owners find to be both worthwhile and affordable.

For many the appeal of affiliate marketing is the affiliates are not compensated for their efforts unless the business owner sees some type of gain from the advertising. This gain may be in the form of website traffic in the case of pay per click marketing, in the form of sales in pay per sale marketing or in the form of potential leads when a website visitor performs a specific action such as registering with a website or signing up for an offer.

While affiliate marketing is very appealing there are others who prefer advertising on Craigslist. The advantage Craigslist offers to advertisers is, of course, that the advertisers never pay for their business advertisements and the community receives a great deal of website traffic already so driving traffic to the website is not a concern.

Why Free Is Not Always Better

Keep in mind, there are some particular times where free advertisement is not necessary the most beneficial kind of advertisement you have available.

If you think of a product or service that Craigslist doesn't have a relevant category for.In that case advertising using Craigslist is probably not worth your while because, even though the advertising is free, in that case it is not likely not to get a huge amount of attention from members of your targeted audience. So in that situation, advertising on Craigslist is probably a real waste of resources and time.

Another example of a time when Craigslist will not be the best advertising choice is if the market is an overcrowded one with a large amount of competitors and advertisements. In a case like that it will be very hard to convert them into one of your own loyal customers so it may be more worth your while to purchase some advertising in a less crowded market.

What I Wish I Had Known About Websites When Just Starting My Business

I have been around computers for years, but only really started to embrace websites in the past 5 years.

As I have learnt and grown there is a pile of stuff that I wish I had known about websites when I was first starting out.Recently a number of start-ups have been asking my advice for beginners, so here are a few of the things I wished I had known when I was starting.

1.Domain names and web hosting are two different things

Starting from the simplest things.

Your domain name is just like your registered business name.It is the name of your business on the web.It can be your regular business name or it can be your keyword or keywords.

Your web hosting is the electronic equivalent of the landlord who leases you office space for your business.Your web host is the location where your business lives.

The other big lesson about domain names and web hosts is it pays to shop around. You can and will save thousands per year by doing your own research.Check out the forums and reviews for the most reliable companies with the best prices.Don't take your web developer's word as gospel.Generally they want to sell you their own package (with a huge cut in it for them).

The other thing I wish I had known is to buy more bandwidth, email accounts and domains than you think you will need.1GB storage, 3 emails and only 1 domain will get you nowhere fast and if you are like me you will max it out at the most inconvenient time.

It's not that big a deal to change your hosting. If you find a good one, they will manage the transfer for you, making it all quite seamless.

2.80% of all web designers don't know what they are doing (but will charge you a fortune in the process)

This is the most frustrating thing I have learnt.

Most web designers (especially the ones at the budget end of the market) cannot build a website that will generate good search engine rankings if their life depended on it.They have absolutely no clue about SEO (search engine optimisation) and will sell you designs that are search engine poison. The problem is most of them can talk a good fight and will baffle you with jargon that hides that they have no idea what they are doing.

You may get an attractive site, but it has no way to be found in search engines.Often the sites are all in flash, the keywords are useless and there are no decent metatags. And it generally would have cost the poor business many thousands of dollars to do.

If any of your web designers tell you it will take at least 6-12 months for search engines to find you then run away.A good SEO designer can have you ranking in search engines in less than a week.

If your designer insists they will make all the edits for you and that you can't do it - sack them. They are just trying to keep you hooked in to them.

If your designer insists on building you your own personal programs to run the back end of your database, newsletter or autoresponder - they are ripping you off just to make you stay with them.

If you have been caught out don't panic! You can choose a new web developer to update your site or hire an SEO expert to go over your site and improve things.

3.Good SEO Copy is vital to your website

Your website has 2 audiences - humans and search engines.

Unless you write in a way that search engines like and "get", your human audience will never find you to read your information. But ...if you write only for search engines, then it will appear stilted and unnatural.

You need to write your copy so that it is persuasive to both humans AND search engines. This is an art form and a science that takes many years to master.

Most copywriters are not trained in SEO, so while you may get great persuasive copy for your human readers, you may not get the search engine results you are looking for.A good SEO copywriter will cost you, but they are worth it in terms of business and search engine results.

4.Buy pre-packaged rather than tailor made

Wherever possible buy commercial pre-packaged products for things like your auto-responders, affiliate programs, shopping carts, newsletter broadcasts.

This means that the bugs in the programs generally have been ironed out before you get to them, they work with the features that you want and need, and they are cheaper!

The most critical piece is your auto-responder.You get one shot at choosing the right one, as every time you change your auto-responder program due to tough anti-spam laws, all of your lists must elect to resubscribe to your mailing list. You can kiss up to 75% of your list good bye each time you shift.

5.Akismet and Captcha are your best friends

If you have any forms on your website, comments sections on your blog or other methods of interactivity, insist on some form of human identification such as Akismet or Captcha.

They are the boxes down the bottom that ask you to type in the letters you can see.75% of all comments on blogs these days are spam.Akismet or Captcha reduces the number you see, so you are not manually deleting them every few minutes.

If you don't have something like these on your website and you have a form, expect your email box to attract the attention of spammers when their robots (yes they have their own versions of spiders out looking for vulnerable sites) find your address.

6.Host your own blog on your own website

Blogs are brilliant - but don't be tempted to host your blog on a site such as Wordpress or Blogger.

If you are going to go to the trouble of hosting a blog, do it on your own site (and not just publish to your site).

7.You can learn to do it yourself

There are piles of courses out there to help you learn.

Some are great and some are very expensive wastes of time.Do your research before you sign up for anything and check out some of the free courses available.
